Phyllis Wheatley Community Center
For over a century, the Phyllis Wheatley Community Center has been a cornerstone in North Minneapolis, offering programs that nurture the development of mind, body, spirit, family, and community. Their HOPE Restorative Programs focus on restoring balance in families through intervention, support, and trauma-informed care, aiming to help individuals not just survive but thrive.
East Phillips Neighborhood Institute (EPNI)
After a decade of organizing, EPNI is set to convert the Roof Depot warehouse into a community hub and indoor urban farm. This project envisions a solar-powered farm providing year-round fresh produce, affordable housing, communal spaces, and over 500 jobs, marking a significant environmental justice victory for Minneapolis.
Homegrown Minneapolis
As a citywide initiative, Homegrown Minneapolis expands the community’s capacity to grow and share healthy, sustainable, and locally-grown food.
